Hmm...I guess it would be nice to see one of the young'uns stepping up, but it is forcing us to put baez in the rotation as well. Would have loved to have him stay in the bullpen. I don't trust his control. he is like colon, tries to overthrow at times.

As good as Baez was all season, Seattle had his number in the playoffs.

Alex, I thought that Baez was just tired at the end. Charlie really worked him.

Why the tribe didn't offer arbitration to Burba? I mean...he had such an awful year, you owuld have thought even if he accepted the arbitration, he would have gotten quite a little bit. Would have been a solid 5th starter I think.

I think what happens is, if a mediocre players "wins" in arbitration, it can have a ripple effect on ALL contracts.
He did go 10-10 or 11-10, so even though he was awful...who knows.
Plus, his spot needs to go to our youngins.

But I though Baez had a few days off before his two bad relief appearances.
But in general, I agree that Charlie did overpitch Baez a bit in September.
But there was a week off due to the wackos in Afghanistan in the middle of September.

Good Grief! We don't want Burba back at ANY price!!! His time here is done and so is he. Don't see anyone else clamoring for him do you?
